The details of your notice — the reference, the vehicle registration, the dates, the operator and the amount. Your name, postal address and email, which go on the letters and let you back into your case. Your answers to the eligibility questions. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
If you arrive from an advert we record the click identifier and campaign parameters, so we can tell which adverts are worth paying for.
For airport and other keeper-liability appeals we do not ask who was driving, and there is no free-text box in that route in which you could tell us. This is a design decision, not an oversight: information we never hold is information that cannot end up in a letter.
Where free text does reach us from elsewhere in the product, it is filtered for driver admissions before it is stored against a keeper-liability case.
To produce your documents and run your case — that is the contract you entered into. To meet our own legal and accounting obligations for payments. And, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a business, to understand which adverts and pages work.
Our own staff, when reviewing a case or adjudicating a refund claim. Stripe, for payments. Our hosting and email providers. Analytics providers receive event data about page views and purchases, not the contents of your notice or your letters.
We do not sell your data.
We keep case data while your appeal is live and for a period afterwards so you can come back to it, and so a guarantee claim can be checked against what we actually drafted. Payment records are kept for as long as accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your case at any time.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Reply to any email from us and say so. If you are unhappy with how we respond you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We use storage in your browser to remember your answers between the intake and the check, and to keep you signed in. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set once you agree to them.
